I am furnishing a small house on a smaller budget. Looking for a good, used furniture. We will live in the south-east of central Virginia.

cheaper option would be to spend a few Saturday mornings from local estate auctions. very cheap price on a lot of things very good in almost every sale. future sales are usually advertised in your local newspaper and most auctioneers have websites where you can view the content of upcoming auctions.
