Nursery Furniture

When everyone has bought their furniture nursery bed, dresser and changtable? (Preferably in Ontario, Canada)
How have you been?
I am debating on whether or not to buy the best quality bed and dresser (it will cost more than $ 1,200 CHANGETABLE not incl) or go for the least expensive, but not the best quality set.
So I just want to know what Everone else thought about their purchase.

I'm in Ontario Canada and just picked up a brand new crib and changing table for less than $ 500. What I did was that everybody I know to keep your eyes open for ongoing sales at various stores. You do not need to horribly expensive just for it looks good sitting there - you get rid of a few years anyway! I removed mine to a Babies "when they had a big sale, and although it is not the most perfect style and color, it is quite narrow and it is safe. Your child will not judge you on how it looks and whether you can live with it, save money for something else.

So when it comes to dressers, you can keep your eyes open at garage sales or second hand shops, sometimes they just need to paint it to look brand new once. Consider how long you will use these elements - a dresser could remain for many years, but the bed and the table will be gone in 5. Ikea dressers even decent for less than $ 200. You do not get everything in one store and it has all the game 100%!

You do not have to fork tons of money for quality items - you can get some great clean, quality items without spending over a thousand dollars. Just have more attention paid to the sales brochures for you and you should be able to find yourself much like me. Even Zellers and other places have decent items that are safe, without having to spend such a sum.

u could try e-bay .. I bet u can find a quality used one for half of a brand new one and if it is a local vendor, they should have free pickup. A brand new, perhaps even cheaper on ebay .. and a final thought u can check newspaper ads;)

Depending on where you are in Ontario, you can save lots of money crossing the border and shopping at Walmart. They sell bed / dresser / changing table sets from $ 189.

Considering that children tend to chew on cradles and destroy, I see no reason to buy the most expensive. As beautiful as day care are convertible, once your child chews on the bars, it will not make a headboard finest. Once your first child outgrows the changing table, it will probably become a storage shelf until the next child and break. Save your money on the furniture and put it towards clothes and diapers!
