I think I'll lose my mind!?!? Hi all,
My 4 months old was a handful and did not sleep all night but I can live with, but for the last two weeks he was denied sleep during the day, if I'm lucky 1h asleep at 12pm and I don "t mind if he was happy the rest of the time, but he is so tired and cranky, he just cried all day! It is an infant reflux but is on the higher dose of drugs, we have an appointment with the health nurse, and pediatrician Dr. but until then I'm hoping for some answers please!?!?
The things we have tried to help her sleep are endless, but the following:
Swing
Tucker Wedge
Baby Hammock
Cot Rocker lullabub (it basically rocks the bed)
Pram - I literally gave him a tour of my yard yesterday for four hours
Bath & Massage
It is powered
It is clean
My house is heated to 22 degrees Celsius
Nurofen / Panadol
Infants friend
The only thing we have not made a disc in the car, even if it does make him sleep, he wakes up ALWAYS when the car stops. It is not in pain cos as soon as we take, it starts to smile and laugh, but he does not nap!
At night he is exhausted by the time her last bottle because it was released and then slept 12 solid 0:00 to 4:00, he wakes up every few minutes, and generally agitated or cries for he sleeps in my room.
My husband works days and 12 hours I have no help.
I am now trying to read the No Cry Sleep Solution book, but I barely read a sentence before he needs me.
All helpful suggestions appreciated x
PS - He cries until he vomits and it can go from calm to vomiting in less than two minutes ...
the only thing I have not seen you try is a port in a sling.
I carried my son around very much. He does not like him since he became mobile, but about four months, he has been a lifesaver.
Get a sling! I like a sling sounds good. I've used the other day carrying one of my toddler and do the dishes, how nice. My baby does not come over it. He was so happy there, though. He loved watching me do things and sometimes slept there.
It'll be better soon. Soon you'll be able to put down and he can play with toys and then crawling to a new toy when he gets bored with the old.
I will not lie and say that it is easier later, though. Once they REALLY mobile in toddlers, it becomes more difficult as the years babies. lol
Today one of my two years old twins made stealth a chair beside the playground and opened the door and went out. Fortunately, it was in my yard, but it happened fast while I was momentarily distracted. I did not notice until I heard her laughing as she fled.
I know I rambled out there ... sorry. lol just giving you an overview of what you have to wait.
Will he sleep at a bank? My son slept sitting (as much as he could) for the first 6 months ... but it still does not sleep through the night in 10 months ..
Have you tried the jersey? Maybe four months, he may not like ... but on the other hand it could help you both.
Another thing ... and I will probably be dismissed for that, but it helped our son when he crossed the stage to three months. We used to lie on the belly of a siesta (nap under the sole control until he could run) with no toys / blankets in bed. This allowed to sleep 1-2 hours at a time during the day. I found that the more tired he was more at night, he slept less ... then be rested during the day, we really see a difference to sleep at night and he slept seven and eight hours straight then.
Good luck, I hope you find some.
