Kids Outdoor Table Picnic Table Plans Kids - Save time and money building a picnic table for children Plans picnic table children had gathered dust in my study. To have discovered when I was doing spring cleaning. As I looked over the plans I remembered why I had purchased. As a family we spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying the weather. I imagined my son and daughter sitting at the picnic table on the lawn, laughing, laugh and enjoy barbecued chicken and a salad of paper plates. I told myself I would certainly use these DIY plans this summer. So, Friday after dinner, I divided the plans over the kitchen table. The children color in the image on the plans. I asked them if they want to help me build a picnic table with me this weekend. Their big smiles and jumping from their chairs were all the motivation I needed. I was going to make sure it was a pleasure and finished woodworking project unlike some past frustrations and mistakes. Later, when the children had gone to bed, I looked on the plans in more detail. Plans included a detailed step by step guide to building a mini-table outside. The color photographs show how the construction of each piece of the wooden table until it is complete. The detailed list of materials each piece of wood I needed and the size pre-cut I could ask the lumber yard. With this information, I worked on a specific budget for the project. All the tools for the construction have been set. Saturday morning we all went to the lumber yard. I handed the list of materials and sizes pre-cut and went for lunch with the children in the city. We picked up the wood and headed home. We determined that the wood on the lawn after the wood work plan as a big headache in preparation for assembly. After the construction of the picnic table was a piece of cake. The children helped to keep the pieces together and I've nailed them to the other. By early evening kit picnic table has been assembled. Children were excited, but I told them that we were not finished either. I gave them some paint brushes and we covered the wooden table with a dark stain to protect the wood. On Sunday it was fine. I raised chickens on the spit (which I had left to marinate overnight in my special sauce!) And put on the plate with salad. I did come to the table of children as a boy carrying an order. They laughed at me and stayed there as a prince and princess at the picnic table of their own child. This was certainly one of the best outdoor furniture plans I had already purchased.
