Hungry Children

I heard on TV tonite that there are about 9 million children who suffer from hunger? Now I cannot sleep thinking of what I could do to help.

Sponsor a family that needs food, donated to organizations supporting the cause, can begin training and then make a donation to a local shelter. There are so many things a person can do. I have friends who have participated in a hunger hungry starving, they were sponsored by others who suppported their cause and they have a famine in 30 hours.

Give some money to charity. That is what I do.

Sadly, I can not even imagine to go to bed hungry. Some people do not know how much they have, they do. In today's society, people focus too much on material things but in reality we should be glad that we have food on our table and our health.

There are local things that make a useful work, like giving to children without food in their homes with food back to them for the weekend when they could not eat enough away from the school. Check into something like that maybe?
You have a good heart, and this is not a bad thing, just channel and you'll feel better. I used to volunteer to help kids learn English in schools. They were always away in another city if he was sad and frustrating.

I keep trying to donate some of my fat, but no takers.

I know. I was one of them 20 years ago. Now, I give what I can afford to help. My son has even made food drives at school and church, and perceived as food "admission" to a party he held last year. (He just turned 11 a few weeks ago)
I made two promises to my children the day they are born. They would always know I love them, and they will never know hunger. Fortunately, I kept both promises.

Do not do anything, parents should never have brought them into this world knowing they could not afford them.
