Green Mattress

Green MattressIs "Green" The Next Big Thing mattress purchase?

The United States is shifting buying habits back to basics? A few years ago people did not worry about what chemicals were potentially harmful to the heart of their mattresses. Today, this is not true either. With the adoption of federal law CFR 1633 manufacturers are now required to incorporate flame retardant chemicals that may or may not be healthy for consumers. As time passes, I am sure the truth will come out, but this law would never have happened in the first place.

The main funders of this law were of course the big mattress manufacturers in my area commonly known as the S 4 is. They ranted and raved how this could save many lives, especially those who smoked in bed. I say bulls ---. This law had a clear intention to make it very difficult on the mother and mattress stores keep their doors pop open. Guess what America, they have succeeded.

I have so many friends in this industry and most are like me, a family business that is now struggling to keep it very open doors. In a slowing economy with soaring commodity prices, it becomes almost impossible to make profits. Add to that the burden of having to burn each prototype and model of mattress at a cost of more than 500 hp. plus two equals confirmation burns over $ 1,500 in fees test. Most companies offer at least 10 different models to the calculation. This is an average cost of $ 15,000 for each parent and pop just to comply with the new law and does not even include the cost of manufacturing each bed incineration or transport of all mattresses. The overall cost is equal to twice that amount.

Is this the real intention of the new law becomes clear now? I just discovered one of the largest manufactures fire barrier has closed its doors. Does this mean I'll start over again? Repeat the test while since I've been using their barriers in my specs? I sincerely hope not, or like many others I might have to re-think if this company is really worth.

One thing I noticed is the desire of the American public to "Go Green". Get rid of these things around us that we hurt. Me and my family do. Out with harmful chemicals, pesticides, drinking water, etc. Even our eating habits have come full circle back to his roots with organic foods of all Uri International.

Desire to have "green" mattress more to the point that we are inundated with calls for such a purpose. We offer such an object, but as I said we are always obliged to put a fence around our fire all natural latex mattress. There is a flaw in this new law and that is with a doctor or chiropractor for a prescription non-flammable mattress fire. We encourage all customers to seek such a blanket order and even a chiropractor who worked with us to provide such relief from federal regulations. Who wants to be told they must sleep on a chemically treated mattress anyway?

The bottom line is that there is a solution to this problem affecting my business. We need to use the flaws as well as large companies do all the time. It is time to fight or you can kiss you mom and pop stores and goodbye forever be linked to the whims of big business. Also, Did anyone notice the gas prices lately?
