Advice? I used glass cleaner etc., but no matter what I do, there are always smears.

I have owned and operated a cleaning business 18 years.My theory brevity is "less is more" When I clean the windows, I have rarely, if ever, use a soft clean product.Take cottoncloth, and water.Rub wet with warm, on the glass, then wipe with a dry cloth clothThe another second to remove any burrs or streaks.In I think Windex is the worst product on the market.

Use a bit more commercial than in the house but it is safe. Spray it on and finish with kitchen towels.

It is really better than anything else on the market.

Methylated spirits in a spray bottle and a soft cloth - I used to work on Heron Island and that is what we used glass cubes on display in the local shop.

try ammonia and news paper there are fewer streaks

Try hydrogen peroxide on a paper towel ... works well

Vinnegar stinks, so use fresh lemons, the acidity of the leaves glass smears.

use a microfiber cloth and a glass cleaning liquid

Vinegar is the best!

After cleaning the glass, you need the buff with a dry cloth, to be any veins.
