Christmas Crafts For Children

Christmas Crafts For ChildrenDo you know of any easy Christmas crafts for children?

We spend Christmas out of town in a cabin this year with a 7, 4 and 3 years. We must develop our own tree on Christmas Eve and I wanted the children to be able to create ornaments for the tree. I'm already planning on channels traditional paper but who need quick ideas for having fun the rest.

We made reindeer of the old wooden pegs, with a flaky red ball for a nose and two beady eyes, and just finished the pipe cleaner around the body of the clothespin to the wood. You can also use Mason jar lids and a hammer and nails to break patterns that look really pretty when the lights shine through them. You should also check into any craft store (Michaels, etc.), because they usually have kits with reasonable prices for making ornaments, and this way all subjects are together and they are fairly easy do.

You can make the candy cane reindeer ... pipe cleaners for wood and small red balls for a nose and eyes, they are cute and you can eat them when the party is over!

old CD cases can be used for ornaments, just be creative.

Use popsicle sticks to make snowflake ornaments.
Stick them in the form of a star using four of them.
Then decorate them with glitter. I put the kids glue on them, then we put the snowflakes in a lunch box filled with glitter, then shook it to get them glitter.
Then after drying, I added a sting to them and they hung up.
His uneasiness, but they are pretty! ^ _ ^

Popcorn and cranberry strings. Do not use butter or salt on the popcorn that you go to the chain - a popper air is probably the easiest. Make extra because you can be sure that some will get eaten! :) It is safe for animals too, so you do not need to worry about them.

nuts strawberries. Paint a few whole walnuts (still in the shell) with red paint. After this dried paint some white spots on him to represent the seeds. Cut the leaves of some green felt and glue on the top with a few strains from a green pipe cleaner. You can add a small loop, where the stem would be if you want to hang on the tree.

Another good glitter pinecones. Go outside and collect pine cones that you can find pretty. Lightly coat the pine cone with glue and sprinkle glitter. They also look really cute on the tree.

This is not the tree, but I made some wrapping paper home with my twin nephews four years, the other day and they loved it. Either buy rubber stamps for Christmas or create your own shapes by cutting sponges. Get the tissue clear, white or colored and go to town decorating with stamps. Children can then use the wrapping paper to wrap their gifts in.

Enjoy!

Popsicle reindeer are always cute. Three each popsicle sticks, glue them in a triangle, (optional color brown with the first marker) glue on googly eyes on the intersections at the top, glue a little red pom-pom nose to the intersection below, and (optionally) add two pipes Nice Brown atop the head of reindeer. Tie a festive.
